Phyllis Schleiger Gocke, 89, of Waimea died Dec. 31 at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Haruo Yamashita, 93, of Honolulu, formerly of Hilo, died Jan. 3 at Maunalani Nursing Center on Oahu.
