Francisco Gudoy Garcia, 99, of Pahala died Dec. 18 at home. Born in Batac, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he was a steam generator operator for Hawaiian Agricultural Co. and member of Naalehu United Methodist Church and ILWU Pensioners Club. Phyllis Schleiger Gocke, 89, of Waimea died Dec. 31 at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born in Fond du Lac, Wis., she was a retired advertising executive and sales manager for Honolulu Magazine, member of St. James Episcopal Church in Waimea and volunteer with many community service organizations. Catalina “Alli” L. Sales, 95, of Keaau, died Dec. 29 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Badoc, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, she was a retired field worker for Koi Tomato and Soriano Macadamia Nut Farm and member of Puna Covenant Church in Keaau. Ronald John Saragosa, 58, of Hilo died Dec. 15 at home. Born in Hilo, he was a supervisor at Atebara Chip Factory. Visitation 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Borthwick Hawaii Funeral Home. Haruo Yamashita, 93, of Honolulu, formerly of Hilo, died Jan. 3 at Maunalani Nursing Center on Oahu. Born in Glenwood, he retired as a produce farmer, and served in the U.S. Army’s 100th Infantry Battalion in World War II. He was a member of Kurtistown Jodo Mission. Friends may call 11 a.m. Saturday at Borthwick Hawaii Funeral Home; service at noon. Casual attire, no flowers. Survived by son, Gary (Rochelle) Mamoru Yamashita of Hilo; daughters, Lynne Yamashita of Honolulu, Elsie Yamashita of Honolulu; sister, Masako Uchida of Honolulu; two grandchildren. Violet Anna Mahi Brooks’ obituary in the Saturday edition contained a misspelling. She died at Ka Punawai Ola Nursing Home in Kapolei.

Richard “Rick” Lee Wagner is survived by, among others, his wife, Sheri K.H. Wagner of Keaau. An obituary published Monday misspelled her name.
